Truck owner agreement
Version 2026-09-19
This is a short, plain-language agreement between you (the owner of a food truck) and Quad Cities Food Trucks. When you list your truck and sign in to the owner portal, you are asked to agree to it. It covers what we show about your truck, what we read to keep it current, what you promise us, and how to leave.
Quad Cities Food Trucks is running a small pilot. This agreement is written in plain language and has not yet been reviewed by a legal professional. It applies to the pilot, and we expect to have it reviewed before opening the service to more trucks.
1. What we show
You give us permission to display your truck on the Quad Cities Food Trucks website and in search results, including:
- your truck name and description;
- your schedule, locations, and hours;
- the kinds of food you serve;
- your menu, menu images, and profile image; and
- links to your own website and social pages.
Your listing is public. Search engines may show and keep what we publish, and we cannot remove copies they have already made.
2. What we read to keep your schedule current
To keep your schedule up to date, we may read your public Facebook Page and your own business website. Facebook access is read-only: we can read your Page's posts and details, and we cannot post, edit, or delete anything on your Page. Connecting Facebook is optional. See how the Facebook connection works.
We use automated tools, including AI, to turn what we read into schedule entries. A source is reviewed and approved before it is used, and not every post becomes a schedule entry.
3. Automated entries can be wrong
Automated entries can be mistaken -- a wrong day, place, or time, or a post that was not really an appearance. You are the best judge of your own schedule. In the owner portal you can correct an entry, cancel one, or confirm one that is right. If something is wrong and you cannot fix it yourself, or you would like us to hide an entry or your whole listing, email info@quadcitiesfoodtrucks.com and we will act on it as soon as we reasonably can.
4. What you promise about what you upload
If you upload a menu, image, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that we may display it as described above. Please do not upload anything you do not own or have permission to use.
5. How to leave
You can step back at any time, in whatever way suits you:
- Disconnect Facebook. Remove Quad Cities Food Trucks' access from your Facebook or Meta settings. This stops us reading new information through that connection.
- Hide your listing. Email us and we will hide your truck from the public site without deleting it, so you can come back later.
- Delete your information. Ask us to delete what we hold about your account and connection. See the Data Deletion page for how to ask and what to include.
Limited historical schedule or audit records may be retained when needed to preserve schedule integrity, security, or the record of actions already taken on the service -- including a record that you accepted this agreement.
6. Cost, availability, and changes to this agreement
- Listing your truck is free, and we intend to keep it free.
- We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, or that any schedule is accurate or complete.
- We may change this agreement. We will give you notice of a material change, and it will carry a new version number above.
